All participants must arrive at the Ibis Chía Hotel, located north of Bogotá (approximately one hour from El Dorado Airport). The hotel is next to a shopping center with a Decathlon store, where you can purchase any gear you couldn’t bring on the plane, as well as secure currency exchange services for any money you may need before the tour begins.
Check-in at the hotel starts at 2:00 pm. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage at the front desk and use the hotel’s facilities while waiting for your room to be ready.
We will have a group dinner (included), where we will introduce the experience and go over the details of the tour.
*Airport transfer upon arrival is not included, but we can assist in arranging transportation to pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel.*
On Sunday, we will depart from the Ibis Chía Hotel at 9:00 am for a 30-minute transfer to the town of Zipaquirá, home to Colombia’s largest salt mine, internationally recognized for its history and its underground cathedral (entrance not included). The visit to the mine lasts approximately 1.5 hours.

Afterward, we will transfer the group to our first destination in Guasca (approximately 1 hour). This small town, located north of Bogotá, is surrounded by mountains and features scenic dirt roads through nature—perfect for starting our tour in a beautiful valley within the Eastern Andes.

We will have lunch at Hotel Campestre Café La Huerta (included), and in the afternoon we will set up the bikes. Later, we’ll head out for an introductory ride to see how our bodies adapt to the altitude (approximately 2,800 meters / 9,200 feet above sea level). Dinner at the hotel (not included).

*(Approx. 35 km / 22 miles of riding and 400 meters / 1,300 feet of elevation gain)*

Accommodation at Café La Huerta Hotel in Guasca.
We will have breakfast at the hotel, leave our luggage at the front desk, and set off by bike toward Guatavita. We should carry only the essentials in our backpacks for the ride, while valuables will be transported in the support vehicles.

Our route takes us to a beautiful colonial town on the shores of the Tominé Reservoir (approx. 45 km / 28 miles of riding and 900 meters / 2,950 feet of elevation gain). Lunch will be provided in Guatavita (included).

Meanwhile, the tour vehicle will pick up the luggage from the hotel in Guasca and meet us in Guatavita, from where we will continue by transfer to Villa de Leyva, a cultural heritage town of Colombia (approx. 2.5-hour transfer).

Recommendation: dinner at Restaurante El Municipal (not included).
Accommodation at Hotel El Giro.
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a 25-minute transfer to the starting point of the ride in Ráquira. We will have about 30 minutes to walk through the town and explore its colorful artisan shops.

We then begin our ride across the magical Candelaria Desert, including the most challenging climb of the entire tour. Along the way, we will visit the Patio de Brujas and the Hand of the Artisan (entrance not included), before returning to Villa de Leyva for lunch (included).

Free afternoon to explore and enjoy the charming streets of this colonial town. We recommend visiting the Chocolate Museum (not included).

Dinner recommendation: El Ático complex (not included).
Overnight at Hotel El Giro.

(Approx. 45 km / 28 miles of riding and 800 meters / 2,600 feet of elevation gain)
We will have breakfast at the hotel and set off riding north of Villa de Leyva along the mountain slopes of Iguaque National Park. This area features stretches of lush vegetation, where we will gradually climb along the road leading to a small town hidden in the mountains known as Gachantivá.

Along the way, we will pass through farms, crop fields, streams, and sections of native forest, riding at the foothills of Iguaque National Park. We will enjoy an unforgettable sky-bikes experience, followed by a delicious picnic.

We will then return to our starting point on a circular route of approximately 60 km (37 miles) with around 1,100 meters (3,600 feet) of elevation gain.

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a Colombian coffee tasting in town.

Accommodation in Villa de Leyva at Hotel El Giro or similar.
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out and leaving luggage at the front desk.

We will begin the ride through farmland toward El Infiernito, a pre-Columbian astronomical observatory. From there, we’ll continue cycling to the Ecce Homo Monastery, where we will stop for a short visit and a light refreshment.

We will then ride to Abarán Vineyard for a wine tasting and lunch (included). Afterward, we’ll visit Ain Karim Vineyard before taking a transfer back to our hotel in Bogotá (approximately 3 hours).
Breakfast at the Ibis Hotel. Check-out and group transfer to El Dorado Airport. We will arrive at the airport around 11:00 am, so participants should schedule their flights to Quito for that time or later.

End of services in Colombia. Arrival day and group meeting at the Mercure Hotel in Quito, Ecuador. Airport transfer is not included, but we can help coordinate it in advance.

Check-in begins at 2:00 pm. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage at the front desk and use the hotel’s facilities while waiting for your room. Lunch is not included. We recommend arriving one or two days in advance to explore the highlights of this beautiful city—such as the Middle of the World—and to acclimate to the altitude.

Quito’s historic center is a must-see destination, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. The best way to get there is by using Quito’s new and modern metro system.

We will stay in touch to schedule the bike fitting in the afternoon. One of the guides will accompany the group from the hotel.

After the fitting, we will head to a welcome dinner (included), where you will meet the team and receive an introduction to the adventure ahead. Overnight in Quito.
We depart early from Quito and, after about an hour and a half along the Pan-American Highway, arrive at Cotopaxi National Park, where we begin our ride at 3,500 meters (11,500 feet) above sea level.

From there, we will have two riding options. The first follows a rustic trail that will challenge and excite riders who are comfortable navigating obstacles such as rocks and small streams. The second option is an easier dirt road with stunning views of the volcano, accompanied by the support vehicle. We will regroup at a natural spring for a light refreshment before descending to the base of Cotopaxi.

This first ride covers approximately 15 km (9 miles), offering a deep connection with nature. The ride ends at a mountain refuge, where we will enjoy a traditional local meal.

For this day, we recommend wearing long cycling pants (not shorts), along with two base layers and a windbreaker. Neck protection, full gloves, and sunglasses are also highly recommended.

Transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon to explore the area. Overnight in Riobamba at Hotel Rincón Alemán.
Breakfast.

1-hour transfer.

First ride from the refuge down to the base. The initial section follows rocky trails through a lunar-like landscape, with one of Quito’s most impressive volcanoes as a dramatic backdrop.

25-minute transfer to the southern face of the volcano. Second ride: a 30 km (19 miles) descent through a canyon, following the river along a secondary paved road.

Traditional lunch in Ambato, followed by a transfer to our hotel in the town of Baños, the adventure tourism capital of Ecuador.

Free afternoon and evening.

Overnight in Baños. Hotel Isla de Baños
Breakfast, followed by a bike city tour, continuing with a 20 km (12 miles) descent to Pailón del Diablo, one of the country’s most iconic landmarks.

Traditional lunch, then a 2-hour transfer to the Amazon rainforest, where local wildlife will welcome us.

We will ride 13 km (8 miles) to our lodge deep in the jungle, where we can enjoy the pool.

Overnight at Suchipakari Lodge.
Breakfast followed by a canoe ride to an island, where we will make and taste artisanal chocolate with a local community.

Afterward, the boat will take us to a small hidden port in the jungle. We will enjoy lunch by the river, featuring a traditional dish (included).

We then begin a 30 km (19 miles) ride on a mix of paved and dirt roads back to our lodge (second night).

Free afternoon to enjoy a jungle walk and the spa (optional massages).

Overnight at Suchipakari Lodge.
Breakfast followed by a 2-hour transfer to Baeza, where we will stop to enjoy a traditional tortilla.

Then, a 40-minute transfer to Ecuador’s most famous thermal complex (entrance optional), where we can enjoy the therapeutic and rejuvenating benefits of its waters. Traditional lunch included.

Next, a 1-hour transfer to Cumbayá. From there, we will ride 30 km (19 miles) along an ecological trail built on a former railway line, now converted into a bike path. This route offers beautiful Andean scenery, including tunnels, viewpoints, and a mild climate.

Final night at Hotel San José de Puembo, near the airport.
Breakfast at the hotel, group transfer to the airport, and end of services.
